CELL-13-5CCT-DT90 Switchable Dimmable Downlight

The Domus Cell 13 is a 13 W tiltable deep-set LED downlight — five switchable colour temperatures, dimmable, IP44, into a Ø90–92 mm cutout.

⭐ Five colour temperatures — and the output changes with each

• ⭐ A 17% spread between the dimmest and brightest settings, ⭐ from the same 13 W.
• ⭐ That is ordinary LED behaviour — ⭐ cooler phosphors convert more of the blue light they are given — ⚠ but it matters when you are working to a lux target, because switching the fitting from 5000 K to 3000 K after commissioning costs you about 15% of the light.
• ⭐ Design on the colour temperature you will actually use. ⭐ If the room is going to sit at 3000 K, plan on 995 lm, not the headline figure.
• ⚠ And note the peak is at 5000 K, not at the top of the range — ⭐ 5700 K gives slightly less than 5000 K.

⭐ Ø90–92 mm cutout — the figure that decides a retrofit

• ⭐ The published cutout is Ø90–92 mm, ⭐ which is the standard Australian downlight aperture and ⭐ makes this a straight swap for most existing 90 mm fittings.
• ⭐ The tolerance range matters: ⭐ a 90 mm hole and a 92 mm hole both work, ⚠ which covers the variation you find in an older ceiling where holes were cut by hand.
• ⚠ It is DEEP-SET, ⭐ so check the plenum depth above the ceiling as well as the aperture — a deep-set fitting recesses the light source further up the housing, which is what gives it the glare control.

⭐ Deep-set and tiltable — what that combination is for

• ⭐ DEEP-SET means the LED sits further back in the housing, ⭐ so the source is not visible at normal viewing angles. ⭐ It is the glare-control version.
• ⭐ TILTABLE means it aims — ⭐ at a wall, a joinery face, artwork or a feature rather than straight down.
• ⭐ Together they are the specification for a lit surface: ⭐ you see the wall light up and not the fitting that did it.
• ⚠ Tilting reduces the useful output onto the floor, ⭐ so do not count tilted fittings toward a general lux level.
