Domus BL-400-1M-KIT - Cylindrical Bollard Head 1M Kit Garden Light Black - Clear/Frost

The Domus BL-400-1M-KIT is a complete cylindrical bollard — a Ø150 mm, 250 mm head on a 1 metre post, standing about 1.25 metres, IP54, taking one E27 globe to 25 W, with clear or frost glass.

Clear or frost — the decision that changes the fitting

• Clear glass — maximum light out and a brighter pool, with the globe visible. Right where the priority is seeing the ground, and where the bollard sits below the sight line in planting. ⚠ Use an opal globe, never a clear filament, or you get a bright point visible from across the garden.
• Frost glass — the cylinder glows evenly and the globe disappears. Softer, and no glare from any angle, at the cost of some output.

✅ Frost is the safer default beside a path people walk or a window they sit at; clear is right where the light has work to do.

Why 1.25 metres is a useful height

• The source sits below eye level, so you never look into it.
• The pool lands wide enough to be useful — a lower bollard lights a tight circle.
• It is tall enough to read as a marker from down the path, which is half the job at night.

Space them 3–4 m apart and the pools meet into a continuous run. ⚠ If you need a different height, buy the head on its own and pair it with a 1.5 m or 2 m post — ask us.

The globe — not supplied

• One E27, 25 W maximum. A 9 W LED at around 800 lm is the sensible fit and nowhere near the ceiling.
• Warm 2700–3000 K. Cool white in a garden reads as a car park.
• ⚠ Rated for enclosed fixtures and outdoor use — an unrated globe runs hot inside a sealed head and fails early.

Where it works

• Paths, driveway edges and garden beds — complete out of the box.
• Modern gardens — a plain cylinder is the most neutral head in the range.
• Beside seating or windows — with frost glass.
• ⚠ Add a BB-100 base for hard-surface fixing, and a globe.
• ⚠ For a taller run, buy the head separately and choose the post.

Complete bollard kit — Ø150 mm, 250 mm cylindrical head on a 1 metre 76 mm post, standing about 1.25 metres (⚠ the recorded 250 mm is the head alone). Aluminium, black, with clear or frost glass. One E27 globe to 25 W maximum, NOT supplied. 240 V AC, IP54 — dust protected and splash resistant; not for pooling water. A BB-100 base is required for hard-surface fixing. Warranty 1 year.
