The Domus BL-300-1M-KIT is a complete conical louvred bollard — head and a 1 metre post — IP54, taking one E27 globe to 25 W, in beige, black, silver, green or white.

✅ This is a KIT, and it includes the post. Worth saying plainly, because the documentation behind it describes the head on its own: the datasheet attached to this product is the head-only BL-300 sheet, and its text reads “conical bollard head only to suit 76 mm post”. That sheet is right about the head and wrong about what you are buying.

What is in the box: the conical louvred head (210 mm) and a 1 metre 76 mm post. What is not: a BB-100 base if you are fixing to a hard surface, and an E27 globe.

✅ Louvred — the feature the name mentions and no page explained

The BL-300's cone is louvred: horizontal slots in the shade rather than a plain surface. That is not decoration.

  • Each louvre blocks the direct view of the globe from above the slot, so light leaves in horizontal bands aimed downward and you never see the source.
  • ✅ The result is less glare than a clear-glass head and a more defined pattern on the ground than a diffused one.
  • ✅ It is the choice where the bollard sits beside a window or a seating area and a bright cylinder would be intrusive.
IP54 — and why the louvres change what that means

Dust protected and shielded against splashing water from any direction. ⚠ On a louvred head the dust rating matters more than usual: slots collect debris more readily than a smooth surface, and cobwebs across louvres are the commonest reason a garden bollard looks tired. Expect to brush it out occasionally — it is a two-minute job and it keeps the pattern crisp.

The globe
  • One E27, 25 W maximum, not supplied. A 9 W LED at around 800 lm is the sensible fit.
  • Warm 2700–3000 K.
  • ✅ Opal, not clear filament — behind louvres a clear globe throws visible striped shadows and a hot spot through the slots.
  • ⚠ Rated for enclosed fixtures and outdoor use.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
