Domus BL-200-1M-KIT - Conical Opal Bollard Head 1M Kit Garden Light Powder Coated Finish

The Domus BL-200 is a conical bollard head with an opal acrylic diffuser, in die-cast aluminium, IP54, taking one E27 lamp to a 25 W LED maximum. Ø108 mm × 210 mm high, in five powder-coated finishes.

⛔ Does it come with the post? Two sources disagree.

• ⛔ This is the largest single thing to get wrong on this listing. A metre of powder-coated post is the bulk of what arrives in the box — or does not.
• ⚠ Our reading is that the kit does include the post, because the name says so twice and the datasheet is the head’s range sheet, shared with the head-only versions. But that is a reading.
• ✅ Ask us to confirm the pack contents before you order. If you are buying several for a driveway, the difference is substantial.
• ⚠ Either way it mounts to a 76 mm post, so an existing 76 mm post can be reused.

Specifying it — what the datasheet does give

• IP54. Protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction — the normal rating for a garden bollard, and adequate for rain and sprinklers. ⚠ Not IP65, so not for direct hosing or a coastal front line.
• E27 lamp holder, 25 W LED maximum — lamp not included. ⭐ The “LED Max” wording matters: 25 W is the limit for an LED lamp, which at modern efficacy is a great deal of light for a bollard.
• Opal acrylic diffuser. ⭐ This is what separates the BL-200 from the plain BL-300 head — the opal softens the source so the bollard glows rather than showing a bright lamp through the aperture.
• Die-cast aluminium body, powder-coated.
• Ø108 mm × 210 mm high — the head alone.

⭐ Choosing the lamp — not included

• ✅ E27 LED, 8–12 W, 3000 K. Well under the 25 W ceiling and brighter than the old incandescent this style was designed around.
• ⚠ Choose a lamp rated for enclosed and damp use. A bollard head is a closed, humid space; an indoor-only globe will not last.
• ⚠ Warm is usually right outdoors. 3000 K reads as garden light; 4000 K and above reads as a car park.
• ⭐ Behind an opal diffuser the lamp’s shape is irrelevant — buy a plain compact globe, not a decorative one.

Where it works

• A driveway or path edge, repeated at regular centres — the opal diffuser gives an even glow rather than a series of bright points.
• Garden beds and lawn edges, where 210 mm of head on a 1 m post puts the light at a comfortable height.
• ⚠ Not in a coastal front-line or wash-down position — IP54, not IP65.
• ⚠ Five finishes, and they are not all equally forgiving. Silver and white show weathering sooner than beige, black or green in a garden setting.
