The Sky OY23 is a ø230 mm ultra-thin flush oyster — 18 W for 2,000 lm, three colour temperatures on a hidden selector, TRIAC dimmable, IP44 — in black or white.

The smallest Sky, and 2,000 lumens is a lot for it

ø230 mm is a genuinely compact ceiling fitting — and it still delivers 2,000 lm. That is enough to light a hallway, a walk-in robe, a small bathroom, a laundry or a study properly, from something the size of a dinner plate.

Ultra-thin, for the ceilings that need it

It sits almost flat. In the places a 230 mm fitting usually goes — under a bulkhead, in a robe, in a stairwell — headroom is exactly what is short, and a standard oyster dropping 80–100 mm is the difference between fine and in the way.

Dimmable, which small oysters usually are not

TRIAC (leading-edge). A hallway or bathroom light you can run low at night is worth far more than the specification suggests — it is the difference between a light you use at 2 am and one you avoid. Check compatibility with us if your dimmer is trailing-edge or smart.

Three colour temperatures, hidden switch

3000/4000/5000 K, on a concealed selector so the installed fitting is a clean disc with nothing on it. CRI >85 and a 120° beam that reaches the walls rather than pooling underneath.

IP44 — bathrooms yes, outdoors no

Splash protected, so it belongs on a bathroom or laundry ceiling. It is not an outdoor fitting, whatever our record says.

Four sizes in the range

Sky runs ø230, ø300, ø400 and ø600 mm, up to 4,500 lm. Use the same fitting at different sizes through a house and every ceiling matches. No assembly — screws and instructions in the box.

Questions
Can it go outside?

No. Our record tags it Outdoor/Garden, which is wrong. IP44 is a wet-room rating, not a weather one.

Is 2,000 lm enough?

For a hallway, walk-in robe, small bathroom, laundry or study — comfortably. It is a lot of light from something the size of a dinner plate.

Can I dim it?

Yes, on a TRIAC dimmer — which small oysters usually cannot. A hallway light you can run low at night is the difference between one you use at 2 am and one you avoid.

Can it go in a bathroom?

Yes — IP44 is splash protected, so it belongs on a bathroom or laundry ceiling.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

Your Options

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid.
