The Prime CCT is a 90 mm recessed downlight with the colour temperature under app control rather than fixed at installation — anywhere from 2700K to 6500K, changed from a phone whenever the room’s use changes. It is the fitting for a space that has to be warm in the evening and neutral for work in the morning without rewiring anything.
It needs a Ø90 mm cutout, sits in a Ø105 mm face and is 70 mm deep behind the ceiling. If you are replacing existing downlights, the 90 mm hole is the number that decides whether this is a swap or a patching job — measure the existing cutout before ordering, because the Prime range also comes in 70 mm and 76 mm cutouts and they are not interchangeable.
It produces 815 to 865 lm from 12 W across the tuning range, at CRI >90 with SDCM <4 and UGR <22. That combination is the reason to choose this over a plain fixed downlight: high colour rendering for a kitchen or a bathroom, a tight white-point tolerance so a ceiling full of them matches, and a low glare figure for a fitting you look up at. Control is through the TUYA app over Wi-Fi, which handles brightness, colour temperature, scenes, grouping and timers, and works with the major smart home platforms.
The head tilts 20° inside the housing, so light can be pushed onto a wall, a bench or artwork rather than straight down. Twenty degrees is a useful amount for wall-washing at a sensible offset from the wall; it is not enough to aim across a room.
It is IC-4 rated and may be covered by insulation, but the driver must not be — Havit requires the driver to sit above any insulation covering the fixture so it can shed heat. The supplied driver comes with flex and plug fitted, so the ceiling side is a plug-in job once a socket outlet is in place. It runs from 240 V AC mains at the supply end and is Protection Class 2, needing no earth at the fitting. IP54 applies to the front of the fitting only, which is the normal arrangement for a recessed downlight: the visible face is sealed against splashing, the housing above the ceiling is not.
Rated life is >50,000 hours and the warranty is 3 years replacement. Lights For You stocks the black and white finishes here and the metallic finishes of the same model on a separate listing.
A Ø90 mm cutout. The visible face is Ø105 mm and the fitting is 70 mm deep behind the ceiling. Measure any existing cutout before ordering — other Prime models use 70 mm and 76 mm cutouts and will not fit a 90 mm hole.
Through the TUYA app over Wi-Fi, anywhere between 2700K and 6500K. The same app handles brightness, scenes, grouping, timers and integration with the major smart home platforms — there is no physical switch on the fitting to set.
815 to 865 lm from 12 W across the tuning range, at CRI >90. That is a normal output for a 12 W downlight and suits a general-lighting spacing in a kitchen, living area or hallway.
The fitting is IC-4 rated and may be covered. The driver must not be — Havit requires it to be mounted above any insulation covering the fixture so it can dissipate heat. Loose-fill insulation such as macerated paper or wool is excluded entirely.
20°. That is enough to wash a wall or pick out a bench or artwork from a sensible offset, but not enough to aim across a room. For a fully directional fitting a surface-mounted rotatable is the better choice.
No. The IP54 rating covers the front of the fitting only, which protects the visible face against splashing — the housing above the ceiling is not rated. Check the zone requirements for your installation against AS/NZS 3000 before specifying any downlight in a wet area.
Three years replacement, per Havit’s current model data sheet.
