LRF-ST64 Retro Vintage Filament Globe

The Domus LRF-ST64 is a 3.5 W retro filament globe in the classic pear (ST64) shape — 1800 K amber, 120 lumens, dimmable, in E27 or B22.

⚠ 120 lumens — a decorative globe, not a light source

It is one of the two dimmest things in this catalogue, and deliberately so: closer to a candle than a lamp.

• ✅ Comfortable to look straight at, which almost no other filament globe is. At 120 lm it can hang at eye level over a table without anyone squinting.
• ✅ Use them in multiples. A row of six over a bar is a line of amber points — the effect these exist for. One in a large room does almost nothing.
• ⛔ Pair them with real light. Downlights or a lamp do the seeing; these do the atmosphere.

✅ The ST64 pear — the shape most people picture

The ST64 is the classic Edison teardrop: a tapered pear with a long neck, and the form that reads most immediately as “vintage”.

• ✅ Its length is the effect. The filament runs down the taper, so hung in a clear pendant or an open cage it presents a tall column of amber rather than a compact glow.
• ✅ It suits a single-lamp fitting where a globe has to carry the whole look, better than the small T45 tube does.
• ⚠ It is a large globe. Check it fits — it will not go inside a small shade.

1800 K — and where it belongs

Every standard globe here offers 2700 K as its warmest. 1800 K is a step warmer again — the colour of a candle flame, reading distinctly orange-gold.

• ✅ On brass, copper, aged timber and dark interiors it is exactly right, and in a bar, restaurant or snug it does what no 2700 K globe can.
• ⚠ In a white or grey room it will look wrong — the amber fights cool surfaces and can read as dirty rather than warm.

Dimming, and the load to watch

Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer, and dimming pushes a 1800 K globe further into amber — at about 30% it is close to candlelight.

⚠ 3.5 W is a very low load, and on its own it may fall below some dimmers' minimum, showing as flicker at the bottom of the range. ✅ Several globes on one circuit largely solves that. Tell us the dimmer and how many are on the circuit.

The rest of the retro range

The same 1800 K filament comes as Banana (T30), Mini Banana (T45), Pear (ST64, this one), G95 sphere and G125 sphere, in E27 and B22.

✅ Mixing shapes across one run works, because the colour and brightness match exactly — alternating pears and spheres over a bar reads as designed. Ask us for a mixed set.

• Clear pendants, open cages and single-lamp fittings where the globe carries the look.
• Over a table at eye level — comfortable to look at.
• ⚠ Not a light source. Pair it with something that lights the room.
• ⚠ Wrong in a white or grey room.
