Pinta LED Step Light Eyelid Solid Antique

Pinta in solid antique brass is the round eyelid step light in a finish that changes over time — 100 mm across, tempered glass lens, solid brass body. Antique brass is chosen when the fitting is meant to look settled rather than new: it patinates outdoors, which suits a heritage entry, a brick garden wall or an exterior already detailed in brass hardware. The eyelid shroud aims light down and keeps the source out of view. Note that the four part numbers are voltages and lamp arrangements, not finish variations — the finish is antique brass throughout.

The choice to make: which part number

• HV2901-AB — 240 V, takes a G9 globe up to 25 W. Straight to mains, no driver. Globe not supplied, and only a G9 base will fit.
• HV2902-AB — 12 V, takes a G4 globe up to 20 W. Requires a 12 V DC LED driver; globe not supplied, and only a G4 fits.
• HV2903T-AB — 240 V with a built-in 2.3 W tri-colour LED at 120°. No driver, no globe needed or possible.
• HV2904T-AB — 12 V with the same built-in LED. Requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V.

On the two LED versions the tri-colour output is 160 lm at 3000K, 170 lm at 4000K and 180 lm at 5500K, set at install. The G9 and G4 versions give whatever globe you fit and can be re-lamped later, which is the trade-off against having to buy the lamp separately.

Where it works

• Heritage and period entries where a patinating brass finish belongs.
• Brick and stone garden walls beside steps and paths.
• Brass-detailed exteriors matching door furniture, tapware or house numbers.
• Exposed outdoor positions — IP65 handles direct rain, with the eyelid limiting glare.

Specifying it

Wired in parallel, IP65, and not dimmable in any version. On either 12 V part number keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver — a warranty limit — and size the driver for the whole circuit. Expect the brass to darken and mottle with exposure; that is the finish behaving as intended, not a defect, and it is why antique brass is specified in the first place. Licensed electrician only.

Backed by a 3-year replacement warranty.

Supplied by Lights For You — antique brass keeps changing after installation, so ask us what the finish looks like at a few years old before you commit a whole run to it.

Earthing and protection class

This listing sells more than one supply, and the earthing requirement is not the same on both. Check which part number you are wiring before you start.

• HV2901-AB, HV2903T-AB run on 240 V AC mains and are Protection Class 1 — an earth is required at the fitting. Havit's installation sheet has the installer connect the earth conductor first, then live and neutral.
• HV2902-AB, HV2904T-AB run on 12 V DC and are Protection Class 3 — no earth is required at the fitting. The isolation comes from the LED driver rather than from an earth conductor, and these part numbers must never be connected directly to 240 V.
