Pinta in solid antique brass is the round eyelid step light in a finish that changes over time — 100 mm across, tempered glass lens, solid brass body. Antique brass is chosen when the fitting is meant to look settled rather than new: it patinates outdoors, which suits a heritage entry, a brick garden wall or an exterior already detailed in brass hardware. The eyelid shroud aims light down and keeps the source out of view. Note that the four part numbers are voltages and lamp arrangements, not finish variations — the finish is antique brass throughout.

The choice to make: which part number
  • HV2901-AB — 240 V, takes a G9 globe up to 25 W. Straight to mains, no driver. Globe not supplied, and only a G9 base will fit.
  • HV2902-AB — 12 V, takes a G4 globe up to 20 W. Requires a 12 V DC LED driver; globe not supplied, and only a G4 fits.
  • HV2903T-AB — 240 V with a built-in 2.3 W tri-colour LED at 120°. No driver, no globe needed or possible.
  • HV2904T-AB — 12 V with the same built-in LED. Requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V.

On the two LED versions the tri-colour output is 160 lm at 3000K, 170 lm at 4000K and 180 lm at 5500K, set at install. The G9 and G4 versions give whatever globe you fit and can be re-lamped later, which is the trade-off against having to buy the lamp separately.

Specifying it

Wired in parallel, IP65, and not dimmable in any version. On either 12 V part number keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver — a warranty limit — and size the driver for the whole circuit. Expect the brass to darken and mottle with exposure; that is the finish behaving as intended, not a defect, and it is why antique brass is specified in the first place. Licensed electrician only.

Questions
Will the antique brass finish change outdoors?

Yes. Solid brass patinates with exposure, darkening and mottling over time. That is the point of an antique finish. If you want a fitting that stays looking new, choose a powder-coated or stainless option instead.

Which part numbers include a globe?

None of them include a globe as such. HV2901-AB (G9) and HV2902-AB (G4) are supplied without a lamp and you buy the globe separately; HV2903T-AB and HV2904T-AB have a built-in LED that needs no globe and cannot be replaced.

Can I fit a G9 globe to the 12 V version?

No. HV2902-AB is G4 only and HV2901-AB is G9 only. A different base will not fit, and the two run on different voltages.

Which versions need a driver?

HV2902-AB and HV2904T-AB, the two 12 V part numbers. Each needs a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V. The two 240 V versions wire straight to mains.

How far can a 12 V fitting be from its driver?

No more than 25 m. Beyond that the warranty does not apply and voltage drop causes visible dimming at the end of the run.

Can it be dimmed?

No. Pinta is not dimmable in any of the four versions.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
