Noray 970mm Black LED Bollard Light

The Noray 970 is the 970 mm version of the same bollard — poly powder coated black aluminium, frosted Perspex lens, built-in 12 W LED, sold in a 240 V AC and a 24 V DC version chosen by part number.

Height is the only thing that changes, and that is the decision

This model and the 570 mm Noray are identical on every specification except height: the same 12 W built-in LED, the same 285 lm / 330 lm / 305 lm, the same 120° beam, the same IP and impact ratings. So the taller post is not brighter — it lights a wider circle more softly, because the same output is thrown from roughly 970 mm instead of 570 mm. Choose it where you want fewer bollards covering more path, or where planting would swallow a lower fitting; choose the shorter one where you want light held closer to the ground and less of it in eye line.

240 V AC or 24 V DC

HV1639T-BLK-240V is 240 V AC mains, Protection Class 1, and requires an earth — earth first, then live and neutral, into the IP-rated junction box inside the body. HV1639T-BLK-24V is 24 V DC, Class 3, needs no earth, and must be used with a suitable 24 V DC LED driver. ⚠ It is 24 V, not 12 V — a 12 V driver is the wrong supply. On the low-voltage version the voltage at the fitting must stay within ±5% of the rated figure or the warranty is void, which on a 970 mm bollard at the far end of a run is a cable-sizing question rather than a formality. Multiple fittings on one supply are wired in parallel.

Sealed for good, and rated for abuse

The LED is built in — no lamp base, no globe, nothing to replace — and Havit rates lamp expectancy at >30,000hrs. It is not dimmable. Colour temperature is set on a switch under the top, which lifts off after loosening the allen screws on the side; it ships at 3000K, and 4000K is the brightest of the three settings at 330 lm, not the coolest. Colour quality is CRI >80 with SDCM <5, and glare is UGR <12. The body is IP65 and IK10 — the impact rating is the reason to specify this in a car park, a school or a public walkway.

Installation conditions, all of them warranty conditions

It is surface mounted: the base plate fixes to concrete or a concrete pad, and the fitting must not be installed below finished ground level. Every hole including the cable entry must be siliconed, silicone must be run around the fitting at ground level, and all o-rings and seals must be in place — Havit voids the warranty otherwise. HV1607 is the optional spike for pushing into soil instead, and HV162X-CI is Havit's anchor-bolt set for bolting the plate down. ⚠ And the siting limit applies to this model too: Havit states that aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments. Installation must be by a qualified electrician to AS/NZS 3000.
