The Fedor Round at 925 mm is the tall version of the same fitting: poly powder-coated black aluminium, a sealed 12 W tri-colour built-in LED and a clear Perspex diffuser. Havit calls it a 1 directional bollard, throwing a 60° spread through a single aperture rather than a glow all round. At close to a metre it clears low planting and puts the light source above ankle height, which is the usual reason to pick it over the 525 mm one.

The taller body does not buy you more light

This is the thing most people assume and it is not true here. Havit gives the 925 mm round exactly the same figures as the 525 mm round — 610 lm at 3000K, 620 lm at 4000K, 615 lm at 5500K — because it is the same 12 W engine on a longer post. What does change the output is the body shape: the square Fedor is brighter at the same wattage. So choose the height for reach and proportion, and the shape for brightness.

Two supplies on one listing

HV1631T-BLK-240V-RND is 240 V AC mains and Protection Class 1, wired with an earth, and Havit's instructions connect the earth first. HV1631T-BLK-24V-RND is 24 V DC and Protection Class 3 — no earth required — running from a suitable 24 V DC LED driver, with the supply at the fitting held within ±5% of the voltage required or the warranty is void. Both are an electrician's job to AS/NZS 3000, and multiple bollards on one circuit are wired in parallel.

Colour temperature, and the quality figures behind it

It ships set to 3000K. Loosen the allen screws on the side, lift the top off and move the switch on the underside of the top to 3000K, 4000K or 5500K, then refit the top with its seals properly seated. 4000K is the brightest of the three, so output does not climb with colour temperature. Colour rendering is CRI >80 with SDCM <5 and UGR <12, lamp expectancy is >30,000hrs, and the fitting is not dimmable.

Weather, impact and one siting rule

Sealing is IP65 and impact resistance is IK08 on the IK01–IK10 scale, which is worth having on a post this tall in an open garden. Havit states that aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments, and this is an aluminium fitting, so that is a warranty condition on where it can go.

Mounting, sealing and fixings

It is surface mounted: the base plate goes on concrete or a concrete pad and the fitting must not be installed under ground level. Silicone every hole including the cable entry, and around the fitting at ground level. Keep all o-rings and seals in place, and fix the cable entry if your cable is not circular. The screws supplied are mild steel and should be replaced with a higher grade wherever water can reach them — worth doing on a taller bollard that catches more wind load. Havit lists HV162X-CI anchor bolts as the accessory for these bollards. Questions
Is the 925 mm brighter than the 525 mm?

No. Havit gives both round Fedors the same 12 W engine and the same figures — 610 lm, 620 lm and 615 lm. Height changes reach and proportion, not output. The square Fedor is the brighter body.

What is the difference between the two part numbers?

The supply only. HV1631T-BLK-240V-RND is 240 V AC mains and Protection Class 1, so it needs an earth. HV1631T-BLK-24V-RND is 24 V DC, Protection Class 3 with no earth required, and needs a 24 V DC LED driver.

Can the 24 V version go straight onto mains?

No. Havit's instruction is to use an appropriate 24 V DC LED driver and do not connect the light fitting direct to 240 V. The supply reaching the fitting must also stay within ±5% of the voltage required.

Is there a globe in it?

No. It is a sealed built-in LED — no lamp holder, no socket and no replacement lamp, so there is no maximum globe wattage to work to either.

How do I change the colour temperature?

Loosen the allen screws on the side of the fitting, lift the top off, and move the switch on the underside of the top to 3000K, 4000K or 5500K. Refit the top with the seals seated. It arrives set to 3000K.

Can I use it near the coast?

No. Havit states that aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments, and this bollard is aluminium. That is a warranty condition, not a recommendation.

Is it dimmable?

No. Both of Havit's documents record this model as not dimmable, so wire it to a switched circuit.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
