The Ambia USB is the same 540 mm adjustable-head lamp with a 2 A USB charging port built into the base, in black or white.

2 A is a real charge, not a trickle

Plenty of lamps advertise a USB port and deliver 0.5 A, which barely keeps a phone level while you use it. 2 A will actually charge a phone overnight or top up a tablet. On a bedside that turns the lamp into the only thing you need on the table.

One socket, two jobs

The practical win is the power point you get back. A bedside with one outlet usually forces a choice between the lamp and the charger; this takes the lamp's socket and gives the charger back.

E14, and no globe supplied

Like the standard Ambia it takes an E14 small Edison screw globe, up to 25 W, not supplied. E14 is not interchangeable with the more common E27 — check before buying globes.

A 1,400 mm cable

Long enough to reach a floor socket from a bedside table, which is not always true of lamps this size.

Where it works
  • Bedsides, where the socket count is the real constraint.
  • Desks and study benches.
  • Guest rooms — a charger nobody has to ask for.
  • Studio apartments and dorms.
Specifying it

540 mm tall, cable 1,400 mm, brass matt with a black or white body, adjustable head. 2 A USB output. One E14 globe to 25 W, not supplied. 240 V, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is two years — longer than the standard Ambia's one year, shorter than the Telbix norm of three.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Note that the product name on this listing reads "Table Lame" — a typo we are correcting; it is a table lamp.

Questions
How fast does the USB port charge?

2 A, which will genuinely charge a phone overnight or top up a tablet — not the 0.5 A trickle many lamps offer.

Does the USB work when the light is off?

The port is powered from the lamp's supply. Ask us if you need this confirmed for a specific setup.

What globe does it take?

An E14 small Edison screw, up to 25 W, not supplied. E14 is not interchangeable with E27.

How long is the cable?

1,400 mm — long enough to reach a floor socket from a bedside table.

What colours are there?

Black or white, both with a brass matt finish.

How is it different from the standard Ambia?

It adds the 2 A USB port, comes in two colours rather than five, and carries a two-year warranty instead of one.

What is the warranty?

Two years.
