Product Description
xThe Cusco BF40 is a 400 mm batten fix wrapped in natural-toned string over a soft white diffuser, taking one B22 bayonet globe.
The base is recorded — B22 bayonet
Worth stating plainly, because three other batten fixes in this range record no base at all. The Cusco takes a B22 bayonet — the push-and-twist fitting, not the E27 screw. Buy the right globe first time.
Batten fix means no new wiring
It mounts onto the existing batten holder point where a bare globe currently hangs — no rewiring and no new cabling. That makes it the practical way to put a decorative fitting into a bedroom or hallway that has never had one. Installation is still by a licensed electrician, as with any fitting change in Australia.
String over a diffuser — texture and softness together
The body is wound in natural string; underneath sits a white diffuser. Lit, the string catches light along every strand so the fitting glows as a warm textured mass, while the diffuser keeps the globe hidden and the light below soft. Woven and rattan fittings usually manage one or the other.
400 mm, and the large of two
400 mm wide, projecting 180 mm, on a 120 mm canopy, at 1.85 kg. Substantial for a batten fix — it fills a bedroom or hallway ceiling properly rather than looking like a compromise. Cusco is made in two sizes, as batten fixes and pendants.
Coastal and contemporary, deliberately
Natural fibre in a neutral tone belongs with timber, linen and pale walls. Against that palette a metal or glass fitting is what stands out; this settles in.
It does not change colour
Our record carries a colour-changing flag. It takes one ordinary bayonet globe and has no colour control. Dimming is globe dependent — fit a dimmable globe and it dims; the record’s “no” is wrong.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
