Product Description
xThe Zamora is a 600 mm woven raffia pendant in natural — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, on a 2,000 mm suspension.
Raffia — and the record said “iron”
The shade is woven raffia, a natural palm fibre, and our product record listed “Iron” alone — recording the frame and losing the shade.
The weave is open rather than solid, so light comes through the whole surface as well as out of the top and bottom. Lit, the Zamora is a glowing woven form with a warm, broken, slightly dappled quality. And because raffia is hand-woven, the weave varies — no two are identical.
An organic, flowing shape — not a drum
What separates the Zamora from the other raffia pendants in this range is the form: it is sculptural and flowing rather than a cylinder or a shallow disc. At 600 mm wide by 305 mm high it is roughly two to one — noticeably deeper than the wide flat Vallejo, which is 800 by 210.
That depth means it reads as an object with volume rather than a lit plane, and it hangs into the room more. Over a dining table that is a stronger presence; in an entry or a bedroom it becomes the feature the page suggests it is.
⚠ It weighs 3.6 kilograms, on a 120 mm canopy. Heavy for a woven pendant — the iron frame is where the weight is — and it hangs from a single small mounting point. The figure appeared nowhere a customer would read it. Use a proper ceiling fixing rather than a plasterboard rose, and tell your electrician the number.
The globe shows through the weave
One E27 to 25 W, not supplied. Through an open weave the globe is partly visible, so:
- Warm 2700 K. Cool white through raffia looks wrong — the appeal of the material is its warmth.
- Frosted or opal rather than a clear filament, so the weave glows evenly rather than showing a hot spot.
Dimming depends on the globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet says globe dependent, and the datasheet is right. Fit a dimmable E27 LED with a wall dimmer — on a woven shade with volume, dimming is particularly effective: low, the whole form becomes a soft lantern. It is Class I — earth required and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.

Depth. The Zamora is 600 by 305 mm — roughly two to one, a sculptural form with volume that hangs into the room. The Vallejo is 800 by 210, a wide shallow disc that spreads outward. The Zamora is the stronger presence over a table; the Vallejo lets you see across it more easily.
How heavy is it?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
