Product Description
xThe Virell PE3 is a 260 mm three-light crystal pendant in chrome or gold — three E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, 300 mm high on a 2,000 mm suspension.
⚠ The globe choice decides whether the crystal works at all — and no source said a word about it.
- Use CLEAR globes with a small, bright filament. Crystal refracts a point source into sparkle; a clear candle or golf-ball LED filament is what makes the crystal do anything.
- A frosted or opal globe kills it. No point to refract means the crystal goes flat and grey.
- Warm 2700 K. Against chrome, cool white looks clinical; against gold, it reads green.
- Buy all three together, same brand — and on a three-globe fitting that is easy and cheap to do.

The small one — and a genuinely useful size
At 260 mm wide by 300 mm high, the Virell PE3 is compact for a crystal fitting, which is unusual: crystal is normally sold at scale. That makes it the answer for places a crystal pendant does not normally reach:
- A bedroom, centred — where a 400 mm crystal fitting would be too much.
- A hallway end or a small entry, as a single considered piece.
- A small dining table or breakfast area.
- In a pair, over an island or either side of a bed — two small crystal pendants read better along a bench than one large one.
- A powder room or a dressing area, where sparkle at close range is the point.
It shares the six-light's exact height — 300 mm — and differs only in diameter and light count. That makes the Virell a clean, honest range, which several ranges in this catalogue are not: with a Virell you can choose on size and know what you are getting.
Three globes, 75 watts of capacity
Three E14 to 25 W each — 75 W total, not supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES. (Our record carried no globe base at all.) With LED filaments at 4 to 6 W the real draw is about 15 W.
It dims, with the right globes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and our page both say globe dependent, and they are right.
On a small crystal fitting, dimming matters more than on a large one. A 260 mm pendant is often hung close to where people are — over a small table, beside a bed, in a powder room — so at full it is bright at close range. Taken low, the room falls back and the refractions are all you see, which is the reason to own crystal in the first place.
Chrome or gold
- Chrome — cool and reflective; the frame disappears against a light ceiling and the crystal carries the fitting. On a small pendant that matters more: there is less frame to look at, so letting it vanish is often the better call.
- Gold — warm, and it reads as part of the statement. More formal, and it sits with brass hardware, timber and warm paint.
⚠ No weight is recorded, and crystal is dense — a crystal fitting weighs more than its size suggests, and on a two-metre suspension the mount takes movement as well as dead weight. Even at 260 mm, ask us before the fixing is chosen.
Class I — earth required, canopy 105 mm, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, so not a bathroom — which is worth noting given how well it would suit a powder room. In iron, stainless steel and crystal.
Part of a range
Virell is made as three, six and nine-light pendants and a twin wall light, all sharing the crystal detailing — so a hallway can carry this pendant with Virell wall lights along the wall, in one language.

Questions
What globes should I use?
Clear ones with a small bright filament — a clear candle or golf-ball LED, warm 2700 K, all three the same brand. Crystal refracts a point source into sparkle; a frosted or opal globe has no point to refract, so the crystal goes flat and grey. No source gave this advice, and on three globes a matched set is easy and cheap.
Where does a small crystal pendant suit?

How does it compare to the six-light?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
