This is the Stor bunker light fitted with an eyelid — a shroud across the upper part of the face that blocks the fitting's upward output and pushes the light downward. That single feature is usually why it gets chosen over the plain-faced version. Mounted beside a bedroom window, under a low eave, or on a boundary wall a neighbour looks onto, an unshrouded bunker light throws as much light up the wall and into the air as it does onto the ground. The eyelid stops that.
The body is aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser, rated IP54 for dust and splashing water. That is a sheltered-exterior rating — an eave, a soffit, a garage wall or a covered passage — rather than a rating for a wall taking driven rain head on.
The Stor draws 30W and is a tri-colour fitting: the colour temperature is chosen on the fitting at installation rather than being fixed when it is made. Across the three settings the fitting is rated at 2050lm, 2150lm and 2250lm. Colour rendering is 80 CRI or better and the beam is 120°, so the output spreads across a doorway or landing rather than pooling directly beneath the fitting.
The eyelid version is rated slightly lower than the open-faced Stor, which is what you would expect from a shroud: some of the output is deliberately blocked rather than lost. If the fitting is going somewhere the upward light was never wanted, that is a trade worth making rather than a loss.
The fitting runs on 240V AC mains and requires no driver, so it is a standard mains connection for a licensed electrician. The LED is integral: no lamp base, no globe to buy alongside it, and nothing to change later — which matters on a fitting mounted at the height bunker lights usually are.
When setting it out, remember the eyelid makes the fitting directional. It should be mounted the right way up, with the shroud above, or it will shield exactly the part of the beam you wanted to keep.
Both are the same 30W fitting in the same black finish. Choose the eyelid where light spilling upward would be a nuisance — near windows, on boundaries, or under a low ceiling where uplight bounces back as glare. Choose the plain-faced version where you want the wall above the fitting lit as well, which in a stairwell or a covered entry often looks better. Lights For You stocks both, and the decision is about where the fitting sits rather than about how much light you need.
It shrouds the upper part of the fitting's face, blocking upward output and directing the light downward.
It should not be. The eyelid is directional — mounted inverted it would shield the downward light instead of the upward light.
No. It runs directly on 240V AC mains.
No. The 30W LED is built into the fitting.
