Maxi Tivah 316 Stainless Steel TRI Colour

The Maxi Tivah is the large, heavy end of the Tivah range, and this is the marine-grade version: a 316 stainless steel body on a matching backing plate, fixed to point straight down. It is the fitting specified when the wall is close to salt air and a coated aluminium body would not survive the decade.

316 is a different material decision from "stainless steel"

Most stainless fittings are 304. 316 adds molybdenum, which is what resists chloride attack, and it is why this grade is called marine. Havit still asks for a maintenance routine: 316 does not rust, but airborne salt leaves surface deposits that show as brown speckling if the fitting is never washed down. That is tea staining, it is cosmetic, and it is explicitly excluded from the warranty. A wipe with fresh water on the same schedule as the windows keeps it looking new.

What is actually inside it

There is no globe. The light source is a built-in 12 W LED, which means nothing to buy alongside it, nothing to match later, and nothing that can be fitted wrongly — but also that the LED and the fitting have the same service life. In exchange you get more output than a globe-based Tivah manages: 1,080 lm at 3000K, 1,140 lm at 4000K and 1,200 lm at 5500K, all from the one fitting, with the colour temperature set by a switch during installation rather than chosen at the checkout.

The beam is a 60° cone, tight enough to read as a defined scallop down the wall rather than a general wash. On a fixed-down fitting that is the whole design decision, because you cannot re-aim it afterwards.

Specifying it

• Single part number, HV1108T — one SKU, no version to choose.
• 240 V AC mains, wired directly. Parallel wiring, and the fitting is earthed.
• IP65, so a fully exposed wall or pillar needs no eave above it.
• 136 mm tall, ø75 mm body.
• CRI above 80, so colours on the wall stay honest.

It carries a 3-year replacement warranty.
