  • ⭐ THE FEED CABLE IS LONGER AND HEAVIER, ⭐ which is part of what the kit is rated to carry.
  • ⭐ ACCESS FOR MAINTENANCE CHANGES. ⭐ A fitting 3 metres below a 6 metre ceiling is reachable from a small platform; the same fitting mounted tight to the ceiling needs a scissor lift. ⭐ That is often the actual reason for suspending.
• ⭐ IF SWAY IS A CONCERN, ASK US ABOUT LATERAL RESTRAINT — ⭐ on long suspended runs it is normal to brace them, and it is far easier to plan than to retrofit.

⭐ Buy long and shorten

⭐ Suspension kits adjust downward, not upward. ⭐ A 3 metre kit can be set to hang at 1.8 m; a 2 metre kit can never reach 3. ⭐⭐ SO WHEN THE CEILING HEIGHT IS UNCERTAIN — A BUILD IN PROGRESS, A SLAB NOT YET POURED, A CEILING NOT YET SET OUT — TAKE THE LONGER KIT. ⭐ The excess wire is trimmed or coiled at the canopy and costs nothing; a kit that is too short costs a re-order and a delay on site.
