The Dover PE45 is a 450 mm four-light pendant in black or antique silver, with an iron frame over a fabric inner shade — four E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, on a 2,000 mm suspension.
It has four lights, not forty-five. Our page called it a “45-light pendant”. The 45 is the diameter in centimetres — 450 mm — and the model number was read as a light count. Both other Dovers carry the same error.
The Dover is two shades in one: an open iron frame with a fabric drum inside it doing the diffusing. The fabric hides every globe, so there is no glare and no bright points; the iron frame throws a shadow pattern onto the ceiling and walls, because light passes through the cage on its way out. It reads as a soft glowing drum inside a graphic outline — something neither a plain fabric pendant nor an open cage can do on its own.
450 mm across, 730 mm high. That is substantial without being architectural: it works over a normal dining table or in a standard-ceilinged entry, where the 560 mm version at 900 mm tall needs a room with height and the 330 mm reads as a detail. If you are choosing a Dover without a specific constraint, this is the one.
Four E14 to 25 W each, none supplied. Because the fabric hides them completely, the globe affects brightness and warmth only — no decorative filaments needed. Buy four identical warm 2700 K E14 LEDs; at LED wattages the real load is a small fraction of the 100 W maximum.
⚠ The datasheet gives the total wattage as 25 W. It is 25 W per globe and 100 W in total across four — which the fitting's own data confirms. Published as 100 W maximum.
Black makes the cage graphic — a hard outline around a soft glow, with a crisp shadow pattern on the ceiling. Antique silver is weathered rather than polished, so the frame catches light unevenly and reads softer and older. At 450 mm the choice changes the character of the room noticeably.
Dimming depends on the globes. No source records a value; it holds four ordinary E14 globes, so dimming is entirely theirs. Over a dining table that is worth having — and four LEDs on one dimmer is where mismatched globes flicker. Ask us and we will match a set.
⚠ No weight is recorded for this size. The 330 mm Dover weighs 3.8 kg; this one is larger and carries a fourth lamp holder. Ask us before the fixing is chosen.
450 mm across by 730 mm high, suspension 2,000 mm and adjustable, in iron and fabric. Weight is not recorded — ask us. Four E14 globes to 25 W each — 100 W total, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
