Dalton Pendant Light 3Lt, 4Lt, 6Lt

The Dalton is a black iron and walnut pendant in three sizes — 3, 4 and 6 light — in a country and French provincial idiom.

Real wood against black iron

The frame is matt black iron and the detailing is wood in a warm walnut tone. That combination is what gives the Dalton its rustic character — and on a pendant people sit close to, real timber matters, because printed woodgrain reads as fake at arm's length.

Three sizes that scale properly

3 light: 305 mm square, 410 mm high, 2.7 kg. 4 light: 405 mm square, 520 mm high, 3.3 kg. 6 light: 560 mm wide, 720 mm high. Each step up adds both width and height, so the proportions hold — pick by table size, not by how much light you want.

E14 globes, and they are seen

Note the base: E14 small Edison screw, not the more common E27, at 25 W each — 75 W, 100 W or 150 W total depending on size, not supplied. On an open frame the globes are part of the fitting: candle-shaped filament globes suit it, plain pear-shaped ones do not.

2 m of cable

Cut to height at installation, from a ø130 mm canopy. Over a table, hang the base roughly 750–900 mm above the surface.

It needs an earth

Class I — hard-wired, earth required. An electrician's install.

• Alongside the Lacota, which shares the same iron-and-walnut language.
