BRERA 3 TIER PENDANT

The Brera PE3T is a three-tier LED pendant in black sand with crystal — 80 W giving 2,410 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K.

Three tiers, and what that actually means

A tiered pendant stacks three rings of light at different heights rather than putting one ring on a ceiling. The effect is depth — you see light behind light, and the crystal on each tier catches the tier above it. It is a stairwell, void and high-ceiling fitting: over a standard 2,400 mm ceiling a three-tier pendant has nowhere to be.

Crystal on a black sand frame — a deliberate contrast

Black sand is a matte, faintly textured finish, and putting crystal against it is the whole design idea: the frame absorbs light and disappears while the crystal catches it. A chrome frame would compete with the crystal; a black one lets it read as points of light hanging in the dark.

Three colour temperatures, chosen at the fitting

3000 K warm, 4000 K natural, 5000 K cool, switchable. On a statement pendant this matters more than usual: warm makes the crystal glow amber, cool makes it sparkle white. The same fitting reads as hotel-lobby glamour or as cool contemporary depending on which you pick, and you can change your mind.

2,410 lumens from 80 watts — and why that is not inefficiency

30 lm/W looks poor beside a downlight’s 100. It is not a fault: crystal absorbs and scatters light on purpose. You are buying the sparkle, and the light you see is the light that has bounced through the crystal rather than gone straight to the floor. Do not plan it as the only light in a room — a three-tier crystal pendant is the centrepiece, with other light doing the work.

One of a family

Brera comes as a close-to-ceiling, a two-tier and a three-tier. The CTC is for an ordinary ceiling; the tiers are for a void. All share the black sand and crystal, so a stairwell pendant and a hallway CTC can be matched.

Where it works

• Stairwells and double-height voids — the only place three tiers make sense.
• Over a dining table in a high-ceilinged room.
• Entries with a two-storey ceiling.
• ⚠ Not on a standard 2,400 mm ceiling.
• ⚠ Not a room’s only light — crystal trades output for sparkle.
