Product Description
xThe Lasian TL is a 480 mm table lamp with a fluted resin shade on an iron base in a walnut-toned finish — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, on 1.8 metres of flex.
Two things to know before ordering.
- It plugs in. The page said it “must be installed by a licensed electrician”. It has 1.8 metres of flex and is Class II double insulated.
- “Walnut” is a finish, not a material. The lamp is iron and resin. The walnut is a painted wood-toned finish on the metal — there is no timber in it. It looks like walnut; it is not.
Fluted resin — and what it does
The shade is moulded resin with vertical fluting. Resin is translucent, so light passes through the shade as well as out of it, and the fluting breaks that transmitted light into soft vertical bands.
Beside a bed or on a console that gives you something a fabric shade cannot: the shade glows with visible structure and reads as an object in its own right when lit, while still hiding the globe completely and giving no glare at any angle.
480 mm tall, on a 180 mm base
300 mm wide, 480 mm high, with a 120 mm shade height on a 180 mm base, at 2.68 kg.
That weight matters more than it sounds: at 2.68 kg the Lasian is three times heavier than most table lamps in this catalogue, so it stays put when the flex is pulled. And at 480 mm the shade sits above a seated eye line beside a bed or a chair — light goes down onto the page, not into your face.
The globe is hidden, so the choice is simple. One E27 to 25 W, not supplied — brightness and warmth only, no decorative filament needed. A warm 2700 K suits both the walnut tone and the antique gold.
Dimming depends on the globe — our record says “No”, the datasheet says globe dependent, and the datasheet is right. On a plug-in lamp that needs an inline or plug-in dimmer. Beside a bed, and with a translucent fluted shade, it is well worth doing. Ask us and we will match the pair.
Part of a three-form range
Lasian comes as table lamps, floor lamps and pendants, all with the same fluted resin. Note that the pendants are white with antique gold where this table lamp is walnut-toned — so they are the same form language rather than an exact colour match. Questions
Is the base real walnut?
No. The lamp is iron and resin, and “Walnut” is the name of a painted wood-toned finish on the metal — there is no timber in it. It looks like walnut; it is not.
Do I need an electrician?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
