KINDLE TABLE LAMP

The Kindle TL is a 500 mm table lamp with an adjustable shade painted to look like timber, on a ø180 mm iron base.

The shade adjusts, which a table lamp rarely does

Most table lamps light whatever the shade happens to face. The Kindle’s shade aims — down onto a book, at the wall for indirect light, or up to lift a dark corner. On a bedside or a desk that turns one lamp into three, and it is the main reason to choose it over a fixed shade.

Timber look, without timber’s problems

The shade is painted in wood tones over metal, not veneered. On a shade that gets warm and gets handled, that matters: real timber at this thinness warps, splits and discolours, while painted metal keeps the warmth of wood against a cool sand-finished base for the life of the lamp.

Small shade, wide base

A ø65 mm shade on a ø180 mm base, at 1.45 kg. Deliberately bottom-heavy — which a lamp with a head you push and pull needs, and which keeps it from tipping on a narrow bedside table.

GU10, which suits a lamp you aim

A GU10 is a reflector lamp with its own beam, so you choose the beam angle: narrow for reading, wide for a wall wash — and you can change it later. Up to 6 W, not supplied.

500 mm — a proper bedside height

Tall enough to clear a stack of books and get light onto the page, short enough not to shine in your eyes when you are lying down.

500 mm tall, ø180 mm base, shade ø65 × 150 mm, 1.45 kg, in aluminium and iron, wood tones and sand. One GU10 lamp to 6 W, not supplied, in an adjustable shade. Class II — double insulated, no earth required, lead and plug fitted, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
