The Inwood is a 390 mm table lamp on a real wood base with a neutral fabric shade — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, on 1.8 metres of flex.
It plugs into a power point. Our page said it “must be installed by a licensed electrician”. It has 1.8 metres of flex and is Class II double insulated. Removed.
⚠ Think carefully about where you put it. The Inwood is 390 mm tall with a 240 mm shade, on a 90 mm base, weighing 0.8 kg.
That is the least stable proportion of any lamp in this catalogue — a wide shade on a narrow base with very little mass. For comparison, the Renara uses the same 90 mm base and weighs 2.93 kg, because its base is stone; and the Elwick carries a 190 mm shade on a 100 mm base at 3.06 kg.
On a stable surface out of the way it is fine. On a narrow bedside table, near a walkway, or anywhere a pulled flex, a child or a pet can reach it, choose something heavier — ask us and we will suggest one.
Our product record carried no material field whatsoever: not the wood, not the fabric.
It is worth being precise, because several lamps in this catalogue are named after timber without containing any. The Karos and the Lasian are called “Walnut” and are painted iron. The Inwood's base is genuinely wood — the datasheet says so and the description says so.
That means the base has real grain that varies through every piece, and it warms and darkens slightly with age and sunlight in a way a painted finish does not. At 90 mm across it is a small, honest block of timber under a plain shade — and being light is exactly what wood is: the low weight is a consequence of the material, not a shortcut.
The shade is wide relative to the lamp, which gives a broad soft pool below and a wash on the ceiling — more spread than a compact lamp of the same height. It is opaque fabric, so light goes up and down, not sideways, and the globe is hidden.
At 390 mm it is shorter than most bedside lamps in this range — the Hommer is 550 mm and the Nord 440. That puts the shade closer to a seated eye line, so it works best on a higher surface: a console, a shelf, a dresser, rather than a low bedside table.
The globe choice is simple — and it should be light. One E27 to 25 W, not supplied. The opaque shade hides it, so brightness and warmth are the only decisions, and a warm 2700 K suits the timber and the neutral shade.
Use an LED, not an incandescent — on a lamp this light, a heavy glass globe raises the centre of gravity and makes the stability worse. A compact LED is a fraction of the weight.
Dimming depends on the globe: our record carries no value; the datasheet says globe dependent. On a plug-in lamp that needs an inline or plug-in dimmer. Ask us and we will match the pair.
390 mm high by 240 mm wide, base 90 mm, flex 1,800 mm, 0.8 kg, in real wood and fabric. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied — use a light LED; dimming is globe dependent and needs an inline or plug-in dimmer. 240 V, plug-in — no electrician required, Class II — double insulated, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

No. It has 1.8 metres of flex and is double insulated — fit a globe and plug it in. Our page said otherwise, which was wrong.
Yes — the datasheet and the description both say so, and our record carried no material field at all. That is worth being precise about, because several lamps here are named after timber without containing any: the Karos and Lasian are called “Walnut” and are painted iron. Real wood means grain that varies through every piece, and a base that warms and darkens slightly with age.
Because it is wood. The low weight is a consequence of the material, not a shortcut — but it does mean the lamp needs a sensible position.

With a dimmable E27 and an inline or plug-in dimmer. Our record carries no value; the datasheet says globe dependent.
