Halvik Table Lamp

The Halvik TL is a 500 mm table lamp with a tiered dome shade in iron with gold accents — one E27 globe to 25 W — with a TRIAC dim switch built into the base, in beige or green.

A tiered dome on a tapered base — and it is all iron

Both the shade and the base are iron, which is unusual: most table lamps here put fabric, glass or stone somewhere. An all-metal lamp passes no light through the shade at all, so everything goes down and out of the opening — a defined pool rather than a glow, with the tiers catching light on their edges as it escapes. At 380 mm wide the pool is generous.

3.02 kilograms on a 150 mm base

Solid for its size, and it needs to be: a 380 mm iron shade on a 150 mm base would be top-heavy without the weight. It stays where you put it, which matters on a lamp whose switch you reach for.

Green or beige, both with gold

Green is the uncommon one — a coloured metal lamp is rare in this catalogue, and on a tiered dome the colour reads as a series of curved bands rather than a mass. Beige is the quiet choice and sits against almost any wall. Both carry subtle gold accents, in a gloss finish.
