The Davila TL is a 425 mm table lamp with a gloss-glazed ceramic base in white with gold, and a fabric shade with a gold metallic trim — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied.

It comes in white and gold only. The old page said “available in black or white”. Only the white-and-gold version is stocked — corrected here so nobody plans a pair and finds one of them does not exist. If you need black, ask us and we will find you an alternative.

Gloss glaze and gold, twice over

This is a deliberately showy lamp and it commits to it. The base is gloss-glazed ceramic — a hard, reflective surface, not the matte or textured finish most ceramic lamps use — accented in gold. Then the shade repeats it with a gold metallic trim at the edge. Gloss and metal together catch every light in the room, which is the point: the Davila is meant to be looked at, not to disappear.

⚠ It does not change colour. Our record carries a colour-changing flag against it. It takes one ordinary E27 globe and includes none — there is nothing in the lamp capable of it. Colour selection here is a property of the globe you buy.

425 by 285 — a substantial lamp

425 mm tall and 285 mm wide, on a 200 mm base with a 190 mm-deep shade. That is a wide shade on a wide base — it will overhang a narrow bedside table, and it sits properly on a console, sideboard or dresser, which is where a lamp this decorative belongs anyway.

You almost certainly do not need an electrician. It is Class II — double insulated — on an 1,800 mm cable. The old page carried an electrician requirement that belongs to hard-wired fittings.

Ceramic and fabric, and the record listed neither

Our product record carries no material at all, and the old specification table called both the base and the shade “Fabric, Ceramic”, which conflates them. Plainly: the base is ceramic, the shade is fabric over a plastic frame, both in white with gold.

Dimming depends on the globe

Fit a dimmable E27 and use a plug-in or inline dimmer and it dims; a plain globe will not. On a gloss lamp this is worth doing — at full brightness the glaze and the gold reflect hard, and dimmed they soften considerably.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
