BREVIK TABLE LAMP

The Brevik TL is a 420 mm table lamp in satin iron with an adjustable shade — in orange, beige, black or green.

Orange and green, which almost nothing else offers

The reason to look at it. Nearly every table lamp in this catalogue is black, white, a metal or a neutral fabric. The Brevik comes in burnt orange and sage green alongside black and beige — so if you are trying to pick up an accent colour rather than default to neutral, this is one of very few places you can. In a satin finish the colour reads as considered rather than loud.

The shade adjusts

It tilts, so one lamp does several jobs: down onto a book beside a bed, at the wall for an indirect wash, or up to lift a dark corner.

It reaches 290 mm

420 mm tall, 200 mm wide, 290 mm long. The arm carries the shade out beyond the base, so it sits at the back of a bedside table or console and puts the light where you are — not on the surface you are trying to use.

Steady at 1.9 kg

Enough weight that moving the shade does not move the lamp, without being awkward to shift when you want to.

Satin, not gloss or matte

Between the two: it holds a soft sheen without reflecting the room. On a coloured lamp that matters — gloss would make orange look plastic, matte would flatten it.

Plug in and use it

Class II, double insulated, no earth required, lead and plug fitted. No electrician.

One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied

Dimming is globe dependent — fit a dimmable globe and use a plug-in or inline dimmer.
