A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Tivah is Havit's long-running up/down wall pillar light, here in a matt silver aluminium finish. It throws one cone up the wall and one down it, and it is built to a standard that shows in the ratings: IP65 against dust and jetted water, and IK10 for impact — the highest impact classification in the range, which matters on a driveway pier or a gate post where the fitting is at bumper height.
What makes this listing worth reading carefully is that it carries three genuinely different fittings, not three colours of the same one.
HV1045T is the 9-in-1 version: it takes two GU10 globes that are switchable between 3W, 5W and 7W as well as between three colour temperatures, so a single fitting covers nine combinations. Set it once at installation to suit the wall.
HV1047GU10T takes two fixed 5W GU10 globes and runs on 240V AC mains. HV1047MR16T takes two 5W MR16 globes and runs on 12V DC — Havit is explicit that it must be used with a 12V DC LED driver, which is not part of the fitting.
Matt silver is the finish that sits quietly against rendered walls, galvanised posts and aluminium window frames — it reads as hardware rather than as a feature, which on a pier beside a driveway is usually what is wanted.
⚠ The electrical difference between them is the part to get right. The GU10 versions are Class 1 and require an earth connection. The MR16 version is Class 3 low voltage and requires no earth at the fitting, but does require that driver. Ordering the wrong one means either a fitting that cannot be connected or a driver nobody budgeted for.
Because the 9-in-1 version is switchable, its output is quoted as a range: each head produces between 240lm and 560lm at 3000K, 255lm to 595lm at 4000K, and 270lm to 640lm at 5500K, depending on the wattage selected. With two heads, the fitting's total is double those figures.
Colour rendering is above 80 CRI. Havit lists the fitting as not dimmable with the globes supplied, so it should not be specified on a dimmed circuit expecting the supplied lamps to respond.
Both GU10 and MR16 are standard replaceable bases rather than sealed modules, which is the practical argument for this fitting over an integrated LED one. The housing is the durable, expensive part; the globe is the consumable. On an exterior fitting expected to last a decade, being able to re-lamp rather than replace is worth more than a slightly slimmer body.
Rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs. Installation is work for a licensed electrician.
The HV1045T version takes globes switchable across 3W, 5W and 7W and across three colour temperatures — nine combinations from one fitting, set at installation.
HV1047MR16T, the 12V version. Havit states it must be used with a 12V DC LED driver, which is not supplied.
The GU10 versions are Class 1 and require an earth. The MR16 version is Class 3 and does not.
Not with the globes supplied.
