Pelase is an 80 × 120 mm surface-mounted step light built to be hit. Its IK10 rating is the highest impact class in this group — the practical difference between a fitting that survives a decade on a public walkway and one that gets cracked in the first year. Behind frosted polycarbonate, 3 W gives around 240–250 lumens across the tri-colour range, in four finishes: antique brass, black, solid brass and white.

The choice to make: impact rating first, finish second

Pelase earns its place where the fitting is at shin height in a shared or public space — a strata stair, a school path, a hotel forecourt. If the position is a private garden nobody walks through in the dark, a lower impact rating is fine and the money is better spent elsewhere. Having settled that, the four finishes split the same way every outdoor fitting does: solid brass and antique brass for coastal and heavy-handling positions, black and white powder coat for sheltered inland walls.

Specifying it

Rated IP65, so direct rain and hose-down washing are within its rating — which suits the same public positions the IK10 rating is aimed at. Tri-colour selectable at install across 3000K, 4000K and 5500K, at 120°. It is a dimmable fitting; use an LED-rated dimmer suited to the low-voltage circuit and check its minimum load against the number of fittings.

Pelase is 12 V DC and requires a 12 V DC LED driver. It must never be connected directly to 240 V — that destroys it and ends the warranty. Every fitting must be within 25 m of its driver, and the driver sized for the whole circuit's wattage. The LED is built in: no globe is needed and none can be fitted. Installation by a licensed electrician.
