This is the standard-body Nella at 12 W — Ø90 mm across and 120 mm deep, in powder coated black or white aluminium. It is the version to choose when you want the 12 W output without the extended barrel: the same light engine as the extension model in a housing half the depth.
Being surface mounted, it takes no cutout. The fitting fixes to a shallow mounting base against the ceiling, which is what makes the Nella range usable on concrete slabs, rendered ceilings and timber linings, and in any renovation where the ceiling cavity is not accessible.
Five colour temperatures are built into every unit and selected at installation, and the output moves substantially between them: 688 lm at 2700K, 840 lm at 3000K, 916 lm at 4000K, 931 lm at 5000K and 1,004 lm at 5700K. That is a 316 lm spread from end to end, so the colour you settle on genuinely changes how many fittings a room needs — worth deciding before you space them out rather than after.
Light quality is where this range earns its price. Colour rendering is CRI >90 with SDCM <3 binning, so fittings hold their colour against one another down a run instead of drifting, and UGR <10 keeps the source out of your eyeline — the deep baffle that gives the range its "Nella Baffled" name on Havit's installation documentation. The beam is a controlled 60°.
This listing is the 240 V AC model: wired directly to mains with no driver in the circuit, Protection Class I so an earth connection is required, and wired in parallel across a run. It is Triac dimmable, and Havit lists the HV9625 Triac Dimmer as the matching control.
IP54 covers dust and splashing water from any direction — eaves, alfresco ceilings and bathroom ceilings — but not immersion or pressure jets, so have your electrician confirm the zone. The body carries an IK08 impact rating and a lamp expectancy under 30,000 hours.
Gold, black and chrome inserts fit the aperture if you want to change the trim later, and a 3 m pendant accessory converts the fitting to a suspended one — which drops the assembly to IP20 and restricts it to indoor dry areas. Havit's 3 year replacement warranty applies.
Lights For You lists the standard and extended 12 W bodies together, because the choice between them is about proportion rather than performance and is much easier to make side by side.
Depth only. This standard body is 120 mm deep against 240 mm for the extension model. The LED, the wattage, the five colour settings, the lumen figures, the beam angle and the IP rating are identical across both.
No. It is surface mounted and fixes to a mounting base against the ceiling, so there is no hole to cut and no need for access above the ceiling line. That is what makes it workable on concrete, render and timber-lined ceilings.
Considerably — from 688 lm at 2700K up to 1,004 lm at 5700K, a spread of over 300 lm. If you are calculating fitting spacing for a kitchen or workspace, do it against the colour temperature you actually intend to use.
Not this version. It is the 240 V AC model and connects directly to mains. It is Protection Class I, so an earth connection is required and a licensed electrician must install it.
Yes — Triac dimming on the 240 V model, with Havit's HV9625 Triac Dimmer listed as the compatible control. Use an LED-rated dimmer and check its minimum load against the number of fittings sharing the circuit.
Yes. This model is rated CRI >90 with SDCM <3 colour consistency, so materials render accurately underneath it and neighbouring fittings match each other along a run rather than drifting apart.
IP54 protects against dust and splashing water from any direction, which suits bathroom ceilings, eaves and alfresco ceilings. It is not rated for immersion or high-pressure water, so confirm the specific zone with your electrician.
