Aries Fixed Down LED Wall Light CCT 6w

The Aries is a fixed-down exterior wall light with a built-in LED behind clear glass, offered in four finishes so it can be matched to almost any frontage. It is a tight 60° beam pointing straight down, which is the specification you want when the job is a clean scallop of light on a wall face or a defined pool on paving — not a general flood. It is IP65 rated, so it goes on exposed walls in direct rain, and IK08 for impact. Unusually for this class, it is Triac dimmable, which makes it viable in an entertaining area rather than just a security position.

The choice to make

Finish is the decision: HV3625T-BLK in black, HV3625T-WHT in white, HV3625T-PSS316 in polished 316 stainless steel and HV3625T-AB in antique brass. All four are otherwise identical. The colour temperature is tri-colour selectable at install: 448 lm at 3000K, 576 lm at 4000K and 534 lm at 5500K from a 6 W LED. Choose 3000K for a warm entry or alfresco wall and 4000K where you want maximum output from the fitting.

Where it works

• Front facades in a vertical run, each fitting scalloping light down the render or brick.
• Coastal homes, using the polished 316 stainless finish against salt air.
• Alfresco and courtyard walls, dimmed back for evening entertaining.
• Entry pillars and letterbox walls, with a tight beam that lights the surface and not the neighbour's window.

Specifying it

The Aries is 240 V and wires straight to mains — no driver or transformer. The LED is built in, so no globe is needed and none can be fitted; there is nothing to re-lamp. It is a Class 1 fitting at 240 V and requires an earth. The diffuser is clear glass, the impact rating IK08, and rated life is under 30,000 hours. Dimming is Triac, so pair it with a Triac-compatible dimmer — not a trailing-edge or 0–10 V type — and confirm the dimmer's minimum load suits a 6 W fitting before you commit to a large run.
