xThe grilled 3 W Bata in bare 316 marine-grade stainless is the version that ends up on coastal and poolside work. 316 carries molybdenum, which is what separates it from the 304 stainless that pits and browns near salt air, and the grill keeps the LED panel out of direct view at the height a brick light actually sits. It needs only a 105 × 41 mm aperture, which is what makes it viable in coping, a low retaining wall or a single skin of blockwork.
What the blades do on a brushed face
Two things. They cut the glare, which matters most where the fitting is approached head-on — a path, a pool surround, a set of steps. And they give the brushed metal edges to catch light on, so the face reads as a detail in daylight instead of a blank plate. Dimensionally and electrically it is identical to the plain-faced HV3007T-SS316; the choice is visual.
The maintenance that protects the warranty
Havit's sheet requires that all 316 stainless fittings have regular cleaning maintenance to avoid tea staining, and states that tea staining is not covered by the warranty. A grilled face has more edges and shaded pockets for airborne salt to settle into than a plain one, so on a beachfront job treat the rinse as part of the maintenance schedule rather than an afterthought. Part HV9971 is Havit's stainless kit — a rejuvenating paste plus a protective spray — for a face that has already bloomed. The same sheet asks that aluminium, 304 stainless and powder-coated 316 stainless fittings be kept 5 km from salt water; this cover is uncoated 316, but the body behind it is aluminium.
Cutting for it
105 × 41 mm with the canister, 103 × 35 mm without, 58 mm of depth. The installation sheet and Havit's product page agree exactly, which is not true of every fitting in this range. The 6 W Bata takes 159 × 58 mm, so the two sizes cannot be exchanged in a finished wall. Spring clips for gyprock ship alongside the canister option.
Electrical
240 V is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth. 12 V DC is Class 3, no earth, and must run from a 12 V DC LED driver — never straight off mains. Keep a 12 V fitting within 25 m of that driver and supply within ±5% of rated voltage, or the warranty is void. Wiring is parallel; Havit lists gel-filled IP67 connectors (HV9911, HV9912, HV9913) for sealing the 150 mm tail if you would rather not solder and heat-shrink inside a wall cavity.
Numbers
IP54, IK06, 120° beam, CRI above 80, frosted tempered glass, and a built-in 3 W LED on a replaceable panel with no globe and no socket. The slide switch gives 3000 K, 4000 K or 5500 K at 240, 255 and 270 lumens. It does not dim on either supply.

Questions
Why choose 316 over 304 stainless?
316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride attack. Near salt air 304 pits and browns within a season or two.
Is tea staining covered by the warranty?
No. Havit requires regular cleaning of 316 stainless fittings to prevent it and excludes it explicitly. The HV9971 kit is listed for restoring a bloomed face.
What aperture and depth does it need?
105 × 41 mm with the canister, 103 × 35 mm without, and 58 mm of depth.
Can it be dimmed?
No, on either supply voltage — both Havit documents for this model say so.
How should the cable joint be made?
Soldered and heat-shrunk, or with a gel-filled IP67 connector — Havit lists the HV9911, HV9912 and HV9913. An unsealed joint voids the warranty.
Will it fit a 6 W Bata’s hole?
No. The 6 W takes 159 × 58 mm against this fitting’s 105 × 41.
What is the maximum run from the driver?

Warranties, Return & Refund Policy

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
