Wear gloves when you install it. That instruction is on Havit's own sheet for this range — when installing copper fittings, gloves must be worn to avoid oils transferring to the fitting — and on a twin-head unit there is twice as much raw copper to mark. Skin oil does not wipe off solid copper. It sets as a print that ages at a different rate from the metal around it, so a fitting handled bare-handed can carry visible fingerprints permanently. It is the cheapest possible precaution and the one most often skipped.
Both heads tilt through 90° and swivel through 270° independently, so a single fitting can light a driveway one way and a garden bed the other. The load is the thing to get right: each head carries its own 5 W MR16, so the fitting draws 10 W. Havit's specification for this model records the lamp wattage as 2 x 5 W and the output as 2 x 270 lm at 3000K, 2 x 285 lm at 4000K and 2 x 300 lm at 5500K — 540, 570 or 600 lm across the fitting. Six of them on one run is 60 W, and a driver chosen on the single-head figure will be undersized. The two heads are wired in parallel, so a failed globe does not take the other out.
The body is solid copper and the datasheet describes it as copper that will age over time. It starts bright pink-orange and moves through bronze to a dark brown outdoors. On a twin-head fitting the two heads often end up marginally different in tone, because the one facing weather patinates faster than the sheltered one. That is normal for the metal and evens out over a few years. There is no lacquer to fail and no plating to wear through, which is the argument for solid copper in the first place.
IP65, CRI above 80, and a 3-year replacement warranty.
Lights For You keeps the whole Tivah bollard family in stock, so if you want twin heads in copper on the driveway and singles in the same finish along the path, we can make the run match.
Because Havit says so on the installation sheet, and the reason is appearance rather than safety. Oils from bare hands transfer to raw copper and patinate at a different rate from the surrounding surface, so fingerprints can remain visible for the life of the fitting. Keep gloves on until it is in the ground.
10 W. Each of the two heads carries its own 5 W MR16 globe, and Havit records the lamp wattage for this model as 2 x 5 W. Size the driver on 10 W per fitting — undersizing on the single-head figure is the usual mistake on twin-head runs.
270 lm at 3000K, 285 lm at 4000K and 300 lm at 5500K per head, so 540, 570 or 600 lm across both. The specification prints it as 2 x 270 lm and so on, which reflects how it is actually used — two heads aimed at two different things.
Roughly, but not exactly. Copper patinates faster on the face that catches weather, so the head pointed into the prevailing wind or rain will darken first. The difference narrows over a few years as both reach the same deep brown.
Yes — 90° tilt and 270° swivel on each, independently. Stop when the head reaches its mechanical limit; forcing it further twists the internal cable and shorts the fitting, which is excluded from warranty.
No. Every sheet covering this fitting records it as not dimmable, so do not specify it onto a dimmed circuit.
25 m, with the supply held within 5% of 12 V. Havit treats both as warranty conditions. Do not connect the fitting directly to 240 V.
