Etruso Wall Light

The Etruso is a 220 mm cast-stone wall light — a softly curved sculptural form in travertino beige, throwing light both up and down.

Cast stone, not painted metal

This is what the record misses. The Etruso is cast stone with an iron core, finished in a warm travertino beige. Stone gives it a genuine surface texture that a textured paint finish only imitates — and it means the fitting reads as an object set into the wall rather than a light mounted on it. At 1.7 kg for a 220 mm wall light, you can feel the difference.

Up and down, from a curved body

Two GU10 lamps fire in opposite directions and the curved form shapes what they do — instead of two straight columns you get light that spreads as it leaves, softer at the edges. On a textured or rendered wall that produces a broad graze rather than a hard-edged beam.

Made for a specific kind of room

Minimalist, Mediterranean and organic-modern interiors — where the palette is plaster, limewash, timber and stone, and a black metal fitting would read as an intrusion. The Etruso belongs to the wall rather than sitting on it.

The backplate is smaller than the body

130 mm backplate behind a 170 mm body, projecting 85 mm. The fitting appears to float slightly off the wall, and that shadow line is what stops a heavy stone form looking stuck on.

Two GU10 lamps to 6 W each — 12 W total, not supplied

GU10 is a reflector lamp with its own beam, so you choose the beam angle: narrow for a tight architectural column, wide for a soft wash. Buy both from one batch. Dimming is globe dependent — our record says otherwise and our record is wrong.
