The Brevan WB1 is a single wall light, 115 mm wide by 240 mm high, in antique gold with an alabastro glass shade — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied.
Our page never actually described this product. It carried the Brevan collection copy — the finishes, the shades, the design language — and then a specification table, and nothing in between saying what this fitting is. So, plainly: it is the single-light Brevan, a slim vertical at 115 mm wide, projecting 140 mm, weighing 0.8 kg. The WB2 is the twin version.
The shade is glass, finished to resemble alabaster — the soft, veined, semi-translucent stone used for lamps and windows since antiquity. It is not stone: the recorded materials are iron and glass.
Which is not a criticism, because the effect is what matters and glass does it well. Alabastro glass has a faint internal cloudiness and veining, so when it is lit it does not glow evenly — it glows with depth and variation, the way stone does. A plain opal shade gives a clean, even, slightly clinical surface. This one gives a softer, warmer, more organic light, and that is the whole reason to choose it.
Being glass rather than stone is also an advantage. Real alabaster is heavy, porous and fragile. This shade is light (the whole fitting is 0.8 kg), cleanable and robust, and it will not stain or absorb.
At 115 mm wide the Brevan is a genuinely narrow wall light — the Virell is 260 mm, the Farnix wall light reaches 254 mm out from the wall. So the Brevan goes where those cannot:
At 0.8 kg it fixes into plasterboard without special provision.
One E27 to 25 W, not supplied. Nothing shows through the alabastro shade, so brightness and warmth are the only decisions — no decorative filament needed.
Use warm 2700 K. Two reasons: against antique gold, cool white reads green; and against an alabaster-like shade, a warm globe brings out the cream and the veining, while a cool one turns it a flat grey-white and loses the entire effect you paid for.
It dims, with the right globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and our own page both say globe dependent, and they are right. On this shade dimming is especially good — low, the veining is the only thing you see, which is what an alabaster shade is for. If you are fitting a pair either side of a bed, buy the two globes together and let us match them to your dimmer.
Class I — earth required, hard-wired, so a licensed electrician installs it, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, so not a bathroom. The satin finish suits the shade — a gloss metal beside a soft translucent shade would fight it.

Yes, with a dimmable globe — our record says “No”, but the datasheet and our own page both say globe dependent and they are right. Places wider ones cannot go — either side of a bed on a narrow strip of wall, beside a mirror, in a doorframe reveal, along a hallway or up a staircase wall. At 140 mm projection it is not something you walk into.
No — IP20, indoor and dry locations only.
