Domus BF-8276 Raw Ceramic Interior Wall Light

The Domus BF-8276 is a raw ceramic wall light — 300 mm wide, 45 mm high, 150 mm projection, taking two G9 lamps. Made in Italy.

Two lamps in a 300 mm body — what that gives you

• ✅ An even wash across the full width. A single lamp in a wide fitting produces a bright centre and dim ends; two spread the output so the whole 300 mm reads evenly.
• ✅ More total light than the single-lamp ceramics — two G9 LEDs give roughly 700–900 lm together.
• ⚠ Use two identical lamps. On a symmetrical fitting, a colour or brightness mismatch between the two ends is immediately visible — more so than on a single-lamp fitting where there is nothing to compare against.

The proportions — a slim, deep band

• At 300 × 45 mm it is the slimmest ceramic in the range — a fine horizontal line on the wall rather than an object.
• ✅ Painted out, a 45 mm-high fitting is close to invisible by day, which is the whole appeal of ceramic.
• ⚠ 150 mm of projection is deep for something so slim — it throws the light well clear of the wall, but check it against a narrow hallway or a door swing.

⭐ The wattage — settled by reading the whole range

Both our record and the datasheet say 60 W for the two G9 lamps, and the matching BF-2608B says the same. ✅ Two consistent readings — and comparing them against the rest of the BF ceramic range answers what the 60 W actually refers to.

⚠ But the single-lamp fittings in the same range do not agree with each other:

⭐ That table answers the question: 60 W is per lamp, not per fitting. The one-lamp and two-lamp models carry the same 60 W, so it cannot be a total — and the BF-2185, a one-lamp fitting, says 40 W, which shows the figure tracks the lamp. The BF-2020 states it outright in its title: “2x60W”. So this pair is rated to 120 W in total. ⚠ We would still not run 120 W of halogen in a closed ceramic body — a G9 LED is 3–4 W and does the same job. Ask us before fitting anything above about 20 W per lamp.

Choosing the lamps — not supplied

• G9 LED, not halogen — cooler running, and this is a closed ceramic body.
• Warm 2700–3000 K — ceramic and plaster are warm surfaces.
• ⚠ Rated for enclosed fixtures — many small G9 LEDs are not.
• ⚠ Two identical lamps, bought together.

Placing them

• Around 1.8–2 m from the floor, above eye level.
• In a rhythm along a hallway or stairwell. A single ceramic uplight on a long wall reads as an accident.
• ⚠ Keep 300 mm of clear wall in the direction the light throws, and check nothing — a cornice, a beam, a picture rail — cuts the wash off.
• ⚠ The wall must bear grazing light. Every patch and roller mark will show.

Where it works

• Hallways, stairwells and entries — in a rhythm.
• Wide walls where an even 300 mm band suits better than a funnel.
• Wherever the fitting should vanish — paint it wall colour.
• ⚠ 150 mm projection — check it against a narrow hallway.
• ⚠ Two identical lamps, bought together.

Specifying it

300 mm wide, 45 mm high, 150 mm projection, in raw ceramic, made in Italy. ✅ Paintable with any water-based paint. Two G9 lamps, NOT supplied — warm 2700–3000 K G9 LEDs of 3–4 W each, enclosed-rated, and identical to one another. 60 W maximum per lamp — 120 W across the two (⭐ resolved by measuring the whole BF range). ⚠ We would still not put 60 W of halogen in each side of a closed ceramic body — ask us before exceeding about 20 W each. 220–240 V AC, hard-wired. Warranty 1 year.
