Domus BF-2350 Raw Ceramic Round Wall Light

The Domus BF-2350 is a round raw ceramic wall light, 140 mm across and 130 mm tall, taking one G9 lamp and supplied unpainted for finishing in the wall colour.

⭐ The only round one — and the only tall one

Every other raw ceramic in this range is a horizontal block or band. This is a disc, taller than it is wide, and that changes the result on the wall:

• ✅ A vertical column of light rather than a horizontal band — the beam is narrow and goes up, so it reads as a shaft rather than a wash.
• ✅ It suits a narrow wall where the 200–500 mm rectangles overrun: a pier, a chimney return, the wall between two doors.
• ✅ Repeated down a corridor it holds a rhythm better than a band does, because the circles read as a series and bands read as one interrupted line.
• ⚠ It lights less wall. If you want a broad ceiling wash, the BF-2020 at 500 mm is the fitting; this one is a punctuation mark.

What raw ceramic means

• ✅ It arrives unfinished and you paint it with any water-based paint — the wall’s own colour included.
• ⚠ Porous until painted. It marks; handle it clean, and finish it if hands reach.
• ⚠ Indoor, dry areas only.
• ✅ Made in Italy, body-coloured throughout — nothing to peel.

⭐ The wattage — settled across the range

• 60 W is the lamp’s maximum, not the fitting’s. Across all 17 G9 fittings in the BF range the sheet says 60 W whether the fitting takes one lamp or two — so it is not a total. The BF-2185 (one G9, 40 W) shows it tracks the lamp, and the BF-2020 states “2x60W” in its own title.
• ✅ With one lamp here it makes no practical difference — 60 W either way, and a 4 W LED G9 is what we would fit.

Choosing the lamp — not supplied

• ✅ LED G9, 3–4 W, 2700–3000 K, rated for enclosed fixtures.
• ⚠ A narrow aperture concentrates the beam, so a lamp with a visible filament pattern can throw that pattern onto the ceiling. A frosted or opal G9 avoids it.
• ✅ CRI ≥90 if the wall is a colour.

Where it works

• A narrow pier or the wall between two doors, where a 140 mm disc fits and a half-metre band does not.
• Repeated down a corridor at regular centres, reading as a deliberate series.
• Either side of a bed or a mirror, matched as a pair.
• ⚠ Not where you need a broad ceiling wash — that is the BF-2020’s job.
