Product Description
xAlbast up and down wall light with alabaster glass
An up/down wall light built around alabaster glass, sold in two versions: HV8079T-BLK in aluminium and HV8079T-BR in solid brass. It stands 300mm tall and projects 77mm from the wall.
Alabaster is the reason to choose it. The stone is faintly translucent and unevenly veined, so light passing through never reads as flat — what you get is a soft, slightly variable glow rather than the even panel a moulded acrylic diffuser produces. It is a material that looks like something whether or not the fitting is switched on.
It takes two G9 globes
⚠ This is a lamped fitting, not a sealed LED unit. It takes two G9 globes, rated at 9W each, so the fitting draws 18W in total and is rated at 2 × 270lm — 540lm in total. Colour rendering is 80 CRI or better.
G9 is a small bi-pin base and the globes are a consumable. That is the trade against an integrated fitting: more to buy over the fitting's life, but the alabaster and brass outlast several generations of lamp, and the light source can be changed without touching the fitting on the wall.
Havit lists the fitting as not dimmable, so it should not be specified on a dimmed circuit.
Two materials, two intentions
The aluminium version is the straightforward choice — a stable finish that stays as it was installed. The solid brass version behaves differently: brass ages, darkening and developing a patina over years rather than relying on a coating that can eventually lift.
Choose aluminium if an unchanging appearance matters, and brass if you want the fitting to settle into its setting over time. The alabaster is the same in both.
Rating, power and installation
Havit's datasheet rates the fitting IP65 for dust and jetted water and IK04 for impact, which takes it beyond an interior fitting — a sheltered exterior wall, a porch or a covered entry are within that rating.
It runs on 240V AC mains and requires no driver. It is a Class 1 fitting and requires an earth connection, so installation is work for a licensed electrician. The beam is 180°, spreading light up and down the wall face rather than projecting forward.
Havit states that aluminium fittings should not be installed within 5km of a salt water environment.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
